The story

Four months pregnant, Monida is asked to divorce her husband so he can marry his dead friend's partner and give her baby his name. 'It's only on paper,' he says. Then he demands Monida apologize to the woman replacing her if she wants him back. She signs without a fight. He thinks she's finally being reasonable. The documents in her bag aren't plans for their next wedding. They're her way out of the country.
