Fake Divorce, Real Regret

The story

Pregnant Monida overhears the plan her husband calls harmless: divorce her, marry a widow to give another baby his name, then return when the scandal is neat. After years of being left behind for Carmen's tears, Monida signs the papers for real, drains the company he built on her money, and disappears. Edgar thought it was a fake divorce. She calls it freedom.
